An Investigation of the Effect of the Oil Base on the Mechanical Destruction of Polyisobutylene in Thickened Oils (Issledovanie Vliyaniya Maslyanoi Osnovy na Mekhanicheskuyu Destruksiyu Poliizobutilena v Zagushchennykh Maslakh),

Abstract

Mechanical and ultrasonic tests show that the viscosity and chemical composition of the solvent have no effect on the breakdown of polyisobutylene, but that the breakdown rate increases with increasing molecular weight and concentration of polyisobutylene. (Author)
