Cleaning of Weapons After Firing Blank Ammunition.

Abstract

Thirty-seven cleaners and solvents were examined as to their suitability for removal of firing residues and deposits caused by the firing of blank ammunition. Six of the best were further studied by conducting firing tests on 7.62MM M60 machine guns, examining deposit build up, and determining efficiency of the cleaners. (Author)
