Certain Methods of Determination of the Sensitivity of Explosives to Shock (O Nekotorykh Methodakh Opredeleniya Chuvstviteinosti VV k Udaru),

Abstract

Testing of explosives for impact sensitivity using the method of All Union State Standard GOST 4545-48 produces results which contradict the experience of utilization of organic explosives. These results are summarized and differences between results and experience pointed out. A new American method involving impact testing of a small charge on a sand paper base is reported to be much more accurate. (Author)
