A Study of the Effect of Microlayers of Air on the Insulating Properties of Packets of Clothing Materials,

Abstract

In calculating the internal thermal resistance of packets and determining the effective coefficient of thermal conductivity of materials with a stable, raised (nap) surface it is necessary to take into account the additional thermal resistance caused by the microlayers of air formed between the fabric surfaces.
