Methods of Preservation of the Formed Elements of the Blood.

Abstract

The principal aim of the project was to accumulate and correlate data on viability and glycolytic metabolism of preserved human blood platelets. Three subjects were mainly studied: Critical evaluation of the present methods of platelet preservation; Evaluation of glycolysis in human platelets during storage; and Lipic peroxides of human platelets during storage at 4C.
