Fluctuations in Mechanical Systems Due to the Imperfect Elasticity of Materials,

Abstract

The report deals with problems related to calculation of vibrations of elastic systems with allowance for imperfect elasticity of materials. Methods of describing inelastic couplings are presented, along with techniques of investigating energy dissipation during vibrations of mechanical systems, as well as the results of experimental studies of energy dissipation in different materials with allowance for numerous factors over a wide range of amplitudes of cyclic stresses.
