Abstract

The subjects discussed in the report include the following: basic problems of space geodesy; systems of coordinates and the measurement of time; elements of celestial mechanics; basic principles of using satellites for the solution geometric problems of space geodesy; basic concepts of using satellites for the solution of dynamic problems of space geodesy; artificial earth satellites used for geodetic purposes; main methods and technical means for observation of satellites used in space geodesy; and processing of satellite observation results.
