Investigation of a Reaction Involving Nondolometic Limestone Aggregate in Concrete,
Abstract
A laboratort investigation was made of a chemical reaction observed as reaction rims on nondolomitic limestone coarse aggregate particles in field concrete. The reaction rims were characterized by color variation and by increased solubility in acid. Seventeen limestones from 11 sources were used in the study. (Author)
