Results of Laboratory Tests and Examinations of Concrete Cores, Carlyle Reservoir Spillway, Carlyle, Illinois,

Abstract

In order to provide information on the concrete in the Carlyle Reservoir Spillway for record purposes, nominal 8-in. diameter cores were drilled from selected monoliths and shipped to the Lower Mississippi Valley Division Materials and Concrete Laboratory, Jackson, Mississippi, for testing. Cores were then selected for petrographic examination; and for testing for strength, durability, and linear coefficient of thermal expansion. (Author)
