Characteristic Functions and Constrained N-Person Games in Normal Form.

Abstract

In an earlier report, the idea of constrained games was generalized to constrained n-person games. In this addendum to that report, the authors discuss interpretations of several aspects in the earlier report, prove a theorem indicating that constrained n-person games lie at the foundation of cooperative game theory with non-superadditive characteristic functions and give more detailed examples of the concepts. Also, the authors discuss games with general characteristic functions and modify the theorems which applied only to superadditive characteristic functions. (Author)
