Use of the Microhardness Method for Estimating the Anisotropy of Plastic Flow of Materials in Local Regions,

Abstract

Studies of indentor methods of microhardness measurement have shown that anisotropy of plastic flow must be characterized by dimensional change in two characteristic directions, the direction of preponderant flow and the direction of inhibited flow, which may not be perpendicular to each other.
