Turf Hummocks in the Lower Course of the Indigirka River,

Abstract

In the region of the Indigirka River, the turf hammocks have a slight distribution and belong to two types: without an ice core and with an ice core. The hummocks of the first type are found more often. They are confined mainly to the swampy sections on the first and second above-floodplain terraces or to the upper reaches of the ravines dividing the second above-floodplain terrace. (Author)
