A Study of Multiquadric Equations.

Abstract

A new analytical series has been discovered which represents plane curves and irregular surfaces. Multiquadric equations are investigated using the summation of equations of conic sections, trigonometric functions, quadric surfaces, and closed analytical surfaces. The principle of multiquadric equations is extended to develop a harmonic multiquadric series. Linear systems of multiquadric equations are analyzed to determine their adaptability to short matrix inversion schemes. Multiquadric sereis are a finite series which fit a discrete number of signficant data points exactly. (Author)
