Abstract
The author presents a condensed bibliographical review, which contains biological information on seals. The review discusses and systematizes the dates and places of formation of commercial accumulations of these seals, their distribution, the age and sex composition of the seal populations of the commercial accumulations and the state of the sealing industry. Pertinent charts, graphs, criticisms and conclusions are also presented. (Author)
