Analysis of Satellite Data.
Abstract
The final report presents a resume of the analysis of data from the satellite Hitch-Hiker I (1963, 26B), OV1 - 9 (1966 - 111A) and OV1 - 13 (1968 - 26A), of the theoretical work done on the characteristics of the electrostatic analyzer, and of a model for the earth's radiation belts developed as a result of the analysis of the satellite data. This resume is under the form of a list of all the papers published in scientific journals, or presented at scientific meetings. The data analysis pertained to (a) electron data with E > 0.7 MeV in the outer radiation belt of the earth's magnetosphere, (b) electron and proton data with 10 < or = E < or = 50 keV, in the inner and outer radiation belts, and (c) low energy proton data with 0.08 < or = E < or = 5 MeV in the outer radiation belt. The bulk of this final report has to do with the data analysis of the low energy proton data, with 0.08 < or = E < or = 5 MeV, which was performed during this past year. (Author)
