Active Shielding of Spacecraft,

Abstract

The report is devoted to problems of active shielding of spacecraft, based on the deflection of streams of charged particles (protons, electrons) by magnetic and electric fields. This method holds great promise, and a great deal of attention has been devoted to perfecting it. The problems of active shielding are presented in a systematized form in the monograph, and a large portion of the material is based on studies by the authors. (Author)
