A Multichannel Computer - Dispersiometer - For Statistical Research,

Abstract

A discussion is given of the design and principles of operation of a specialized computer intended for experimental statistical investigations of complex nonlinear controlled plants on the basis of processing recordings of technological parameters, such as input and output variables and variables characterizing the internal state of the plant. A distinctive feature of the device is its ability to compute dispersion functions, whose normalized values constitute correlation relations between two random quantities, such as the values of random processes at moments of time shifted with respect to each other. The device is suitable for determining pulse transient response, for evaluating the degree of nonlinearity, and for calculating the coefficients of regression equations. The diagrams of the device are given and discussed. (Author)
