A Study of Functional Compatibility of Versatile Circuits.

Abstract

An analysis was made of the set of relationships that exist between the electronic functions and the possible specifications of an arbitrary list of functions, for the purpose of developing a method of determining the compatibility of these functions in a single versatile circuit. A set of compatibility tests was devised. One of the tests was to determine the feasibility of fabricating a physical circuit that would perform with prescribed versatility. Two examples of circuit design were discussed, as were methods of extending these design principles to other circuits. Also, some techniques of optimization for individual functions were explored.
