The report presents the synthesis of the following compounds which are intermediates in the synthesis of CF3CF=CH2 or involved in the synthesizing RNO compounds: HOOC-CF2CF2CF2-COOH; I(CF2)3I; CF3CF2CF2-CO2Na; CF3CF=CF2; CF3-CFH-CF2-OMe; CF3-CFH-COOH; CF2-CH=CH2; CF3CF2CF2NO.
