Effect of Ultrasonic Vibrations on the Mechanical Properties of Metals Undergoing Torsion Testing (Vliyanie Ultraxvukovykh Kolebany na Mekhanicheskie Svoistva Metallov pri Ispytaniyakh na Kruchenie),

Abstract

Many component parts of modern structural elements are subject to the action of variable loads having various different frequencies and intensities. Many laboratories throughout the world now depend primarily upon the use of ultrasonic vibrations in the case of dynamic tests. The use of ultrasonic wave in materials testing offers new data on the properties of various materials, and also on the variation in those properties which arises under the effect of high-frequency loads.
