Improved Manufacturing Method for Processes for Super Finished Spur and Helical Gears

Abstract

The report presents the results of an experimental program which evaluates the scuffing resistance properties of a conventional (AISI 9310) and an advance high hot hardness steel (Vasco-Jet 1000-2) gear material when various surface treatments and methods of surface finishes are used.
