Viscometer of Intermittent and Continuous Action,

Abstract

A description of a new viscometer of intermittent and continuous action is given. The action of the viscometer is based on a forced flow of the test liquid at a constant rate through a clearance formed by coaxial cylinders, the internal cylinder (piston) being mobile; under the action of the liquid, the piston acts on a dynamometric device, the form of this action depending on the viscosity of the liquid. The theory of the device is discussed.
