Multilayered Boundary Surface Films in Cold Pressure Working of Metals,

Abstract

The external friction mechanism at the instrument processed metal contact point in cold treatment of the metal by pressure is discussed. A treatment of this mechanism as the combined action of multilayer bounding films formed as the result of physical and chemical interactions of the contacting surfaces with the applied lubrication, depending on specific deformation conditions, is considered.
