Investigation of Small-Cycle Thermal and Mechanical Fatigue of Nickel Based Alloy,

Abstract

Results are given of an investigation of small-cycle thermal and mechanical fatigue in tubular speicimens of three nickel-based alloys under tensile stresses and temperatures approaching those experienced during actual operation. An analysis of the fatigue curves shows that the mechanical fatigue limit of these alloys is not below their thermal fatigue limit. (Author)
