Lubricating Oil,

Abstract

A lubricant was prepared from mineral oil and an antioxidant, such as 2.6-di-tert-butyl paracresol. Thus, sodium-calcium salt of oil-solvent sufonic acids, 0.5-30 percent, sodium salt of oxidized petrolatum 0.5-25 percent, 0.5-30 percent sodium salt of polycyclic aromatic sulfonic acids were added to 0.05-1 percent 2.6-di-tert-butyl paracresol, and mineral oil to make 100 percent. AU transformer or spindle oil is recommended for use as the latter. (Author)
