A Method for the Automatic Recording of Flaws,

Abstract

Defects during the inspection of bimetallic components with an echo pulse flaw detector are recorded with less interference by adding in an accumulator and amplitudes of adjacent reflected pulses e.g. the second and third, and by passing the resulting signal to the recorder. The ultrasonic flaw detector consists of selective stage shaping state and output relay stage. The starting unit is an accumulator assembled from capacitors, resistors, and diodes. (Author)
