Behavior of Cylindrical Shells under the Influence of Moving Loads,

Abstract

The authors discuss a closed cylindrival shell, articulately supported along its edges, which is subjected to the action of static longitudinal forces and pressure that is evenly distributed along its lateral surface. At the initial moment, the shell is struck by a compression wave having a flat front and exponentially changing pressure behind the front. (Author)
