Pendulum Horizon Sensor,

Abstract

Pendulum horizon detector relating to geodetic instrument manufacture, comprises a mirror with adjusting screws, rigidly fixed on the pendulum suspended from a frame by an intermediate ring and crossing elastic tapes. The frame is enclosed in a case inside a jacket mounted on a base with a level. The detector is adjusted relatively to the base by the level, and the base is mounted on the tested object. Pendulum oscillations are damped by a multichamber cylinders alternately attached to the pendulum and to the instrument frame. (Author)
