Tunable Cw Dye Laser.

Abstract

Work on the Cw Dye laser is presented in detail. The main objectives of designing a stable, damage resistant and tunable cell and resonator, setting up a theoretical model for the laser dynamics, and performing experiments leading to a verification of the model have been accomplished. All these aspects are discussed in detail. The final design adopted was a spherical resonator with a cell having thick lenslike windows. The factors influencing the choices made are presented, and the final proof is the achievement of long term, reproducible performance. (Author)
