Army Electromagnetic Compatibility Program--Program Review and Evaluation of Analysis Models. Volume I: Main Report.

Abstract

The Department of the Army Electromagnetic Compatibility Program (EMCP) prescribed in AR 11-13 is reviewed and compared with the Dept of Defense EMCP prescribed in DOD Directive 3222.1. Differences in their definition of EMC and in their program structures are discussed. The Life Cycle Management Model (LCMM), used by the Army to manage land combat systems through concept formulation contract definition, development and production, and operations and disposal, is reviewed and related to the EMCP to show where, in the LCMM, EMC analysis is required. The results of a limited comparison of EMC models available to the Army are discussed. (Author)
