Research on the Deformation of Tensile Test Specimens of Certain Titanium Alloys after Thermomechanical Treatment,

Abstract

An experimental dependence between the relative reduction and concentrated elongation is established on alloys VT1, OT4, VT6S and VT14. Analysis is made of the dependence of overall elongation and its individual components on the regime of thermomechanical treatment, and also the relation between the uniform elongation and the ultimate strength of the studied Ti alloys. A conclusion is made that the change of uniform elongation with drop in temperature of rolling or with an increase in the degree of deformation may give a qualitative presentation of work hardening.
