Space Programming Language Machine Architecture Study. Volume I.

Abstract

The report presents the results of the Space Programming Language Machine (SPLM) Architecture Study. The principle objective of this work was to develop a computer architecture for the space, ballistic and avionic application area which directly executes a higher order language. The principle document of the design, the Semantic Simulator; the description of the SPLM language (SPIML) and its Translator/Compactor; and the memory reduction realized with the design are presented. All software for this effort was developed utilizing an interactive APL system. (Author)
