Spontaneous and External Radiation-Related Tumors in Nonhuman Primates. A Survey.

Abstract

A survey was made of the occurrence of spontaneous and external radiation-related tumors in primates. More than 30 tumors related to irradiation exposure and more than 270 spontaneous tumors were found. The 137 literature references concerning these tumors are listed, in two comprehensive tables, according to the location and type of tumor, as well as to the species, sex, and age of the respective primates.
