The BANDIT Computer Program for the Reduction of Matrix Bandwidth for NASTRAN

Abstract

The report describes a matrix bandwidth reduction preprocessor for use with the NASA structural analysis computer program, NASTRAN. Called BANDIT, the program is written in FORTRAN and uses the Cuthill-McKee strategy for resequencing grid points. Versions of the program for both CDC and other computers are presented.
