An Interactive Multivariate Data Analysis Program
Abstract
The report contains description and program documentation of a conversational unit for univariate and multivariate analysis of data in regular or irregular two-way classification designs. The main part of the report is Chapter 4 which, on the basis of detailed illustrations, describes the question- and-answer frames on a Graphics (IBM 2250) console. The user is assumed to be a 'layman' in the sense that he need not be familiar with statistical analysis in computer programming techniques. He receive instructions for description of his data from the graphically displayed questions. He has a choice to make several plots of his data (for cells, rows, or columns of the design, each response variable vs. another response variable). In the univariate analysis he obtains detailed reports on means, adjusted means, and the analysis of variance tables, for each response variable.
