Laboratory Tests of Concrete Aggregate and Riprap for Clarence Cannon Reservoir,

Abstract

The purpose of the work was to determine relevant properties of materials present in locally available sources of concrete aggregate and riprap for use on the Clarence Cannon Reservoir Project. Four cores drilled from a potential on-site source were tested for suitability for use as riprap and concrete aggregate. Ledge rock from two other sources was tested for suitability as riprap. Two coarse sands in combination with a fine blending sand were tested for suitability as concrete fine aggregate. (Author)
