Effect of a Lateral Support Strut on Body Pressure Distributions at Transonic Speeds,

Abstract

The effect of a strut support on the measured pressure distributions along a missile at transonic speeds was determined qualitatively by comparing data obtained on strut and sting mounts, using the same model in various configurations. The comparison showed how the presence of a mounting strut influences the pressure distribution along the model body. (Author)
