Analysis of Trip Generation Factors Involved in Ground Passenger Transportation Within Montgomery and Greene Counties, OH

Abstract

In order to insure that a regional transportation system will adequately service its present and future populations a trip generation analysis of the area is needed. This thesis quantified and related the socio-economic factors that affected ground passenger transportation in Montgomery and Greene Counties, Ohio. Data from the 1968 origin and destination survey in the area were analyzed through use of a least squares curve fit program and the BMD02R stepwise multiple regression program. The use of these programs provided predictive equations for trip productions and attractions in Montgomery and Greene Counties.
