A Computerized Management Information and Control System for Shipboard Food Service. Appendix I: Program Documentation.

Abstract

The program documentation describes the disk file organization, the data coding procedures and Fortran programs written to store and utilize food and recipe data routinely used by the Navy Subsistence Office to demonstrate the potentials of computerized managerial control over the food quantities, ration cost, nutrient composition and limited measures of acceptance in conjunction with the menus scheduled for shipboard food service. The documentation is based upon the mathematical modeling and principles of Technical Report 1 but is selfcontaining as far as the input and output information is concerned. A generous amount of sample data is provided to show the variety of reports the system can generate. (Author)
