Evaporation and Combustion of the Aerodispersed Systems,

Abstract

A description of an experimental facility where the evaporation or combustion of a particle takes place in a stream of hot air and appears as a luminous trace to the observer is given. The facility makes it possible to determine such evaporation or combustion of droplets and particles, the induction period of preignition processes, mass and heat transfer characteristics, the influence of the temperature of the medium on the combustion rate, the influence of a gas medium and of various addition to the air, the completeness of combustion products, the emission of individual particles and of particle groups, the influence of catalytic additions and impurities, and the combustion of aerosols.
