Investigation of Chemical Reactions of Organic and Organic Silicon Compounds with a Surface of Silica by the Method of Infrared Spectroscopy,

Abstract

The work is devoted to the study of the interaction of beta-cyan-oethyl-methyl-dichloro-silane and a number of hydroxy acids with the surface of aerosil (highly dispersed nonporous silica) by the method of infrared spectroscopy. Among the functional organic silicas a specific place belongs to silicas with the organic radicals containing acid functional groups. Such silicas specifically adsorb substances of basic nature and are the chemically active fillers of polymer systems containing the basic functional groups in their macro-chains. (Author)
