A Circuit for Controlling a High-Speed Digital Recorder,

Abstract

The Penza Polytechnical Institute has developed and tested a circuit for controlling the high-speed BPM-20 printing mechanism. The circuit is made up of semiconductor devices, which permits using the printing mechanism in a complex with a number of digital measuring devices. The operation of the functional circuit is based on the bit-by-bit comparison of the numbers obtained at the outputs of the digital measuring device with the state of the output register of the high-speed printing mechanism. From the synchronizing drum of the printing mechanism there is issued in sequence a number of pulses which alternately resets given flip-flops of the output register to states corresponding to the numbers from 0 to 9.
