New Forms of Decorative Glazes for Faience,

Abstract

New forms of decorative glazes for faience and stoneware were obtained on the basis of boron-containing and boron-free glazes by means of adding to them 0.6-30 percent coloring oxides, oxides facilitating crystallization, specially prepared dyes, and also pigments put out by the Kiev Experimental Artistic-Ceramic Plant. The best results were obtained on the basis of boron-free glazes with a given composition not to exceed 0.228 moles, oxides of alkaline earth metals - 0.772 moles with given ratio. (Author)
