Investigation to Establish the Comparative Wear Resistance of Various Metals to Metals with Melted Polyamide Coatings,

Abstract

The paper deals in detail with the wear resistance of various metals tested under similar conditions, e.g., cast iron, steel, nonferrous metals, and publishes comparative data. The test results are being better demonstrated by means of photographs taken of the surface of the material subjected to the abrasive test and by means of torque change diagrams. The examination contains comparative data of metals, cloth base phenol and melted on polyamide coating machined to different surface roughness.
