The Asymptotic Distribution of Linear Spacings Statistics and Studentized Linear Spacings Statistics.

Abstract

In this paper the author considers the asymptotic distribution of (1) linear spacings statistics and (2) studentized linear spacings statistics when the sampled distributions are fixed or contiguous with respect to some fixed distribution. The results of this paper are to be used later for testing monotonicity of a generalized failure rate function. (Author)
