Explosives for Lunar Seismic Profiling Experiment

Abstract

The report describes the procedures involved in the preparation of explosive charges for use in the seismic studies conducted on the surface of the moon. It deals with the scaling up of the blending of materials for the inert simulant as well as the HNS/Teflon explosive. It describes the pressing, machining and assembling of the charges into hardware furnished.
