Interaction Between Arbovirus and Myxovirus.

Abstract

Various combination systems between arbovirus Group A, Sindbis virus and myxovirus, the NWS strain of influenza virus were designed, and many recombination procedures using a virion and its ribonucleic acid (RNA) of both viruses were performed in tissue cultures and animal experiments. The results obtained are indicated that no evidence for obtaining a new recombinant or mutant which could be distinguished from the viruses used was demonstrated. (Author)
