Abstract

A digital map represents the development of the picture of a classic map arranged in the form of points and lines in a plane to form a linear digital record placed on punched cards or perforated or magnetic tape. Its function is concerned as a source of information and storage memory. Recordings on geographic locations and cartographic data conceived in this way as an integrated data bank is described.
