High-Voltage Pulse Generator,

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the possibility of creating a generator based on a circuit for forming trapezoidal-shaped pulses with an amplitude of 250-300 kV, and with the duration of the flat segment of 100 ns. A simplified circuit of the generator, based on the principle of multiplying a voltage in coaxial cables connected in parallel at the input and in series at the output, is shown. The generator consists of the following basic units: a high-voltage rectifier, shaper line, commutating thyratons, transforming line, and decoupling choke.
