Aerodynamics of a Swirling Flow in an Annular Channel,

Abstract

The aerodynamics of a twisted swirling flow in an annular passage was studied to investigate the intensification of convective heat exchange using different types of turbulence agents. By examining the velocity distribution, a mechanism of convective heat exchange is proposed. Comparative measurement data on the axial and tangential velocity components of air flow are given.
